
Alexandra Gutierrez
Alexandra Gutierrez is thrilled to be a new member of the Live Theatre Gang,
appearing in Haters and Boriqua Scrooge (Esmeralda Scrooge). She is a triple
threat, an Actor/Dancer/Singer. She's Dominican, born and raised in New York
City, the fourth girl of five children. Her journey as a performing artist
began through dance before acting and singing came along. She has studied jazz,
ballet, modern, African, and some tap. Currently she is more into modern,
hip-hop/house, and Salsa/Mambo styles of dance. She is also member of Michiyo
Tanaka's Dance Company.
Alexandra's primary focus in her career is Acting. She especially loves
theatre. However, she is auditioning for every medium in the field, this
includes: Theatre, Film, TV, Commercials and Commercial Print. Some of her
stage credits include: Cinderella (Queen and Fairy Godmother); The Emperor's
New Clothes(Karla); The Ugly Duckling (Mama Duck, Old Woman); The Threepenny
Opera (Lucy); Pippin (Katherine); A Chorus Line (Judy) among others and numerous
Dance performances. As for Film and Television, she just finished shooting an
urban Mini-Series Final City playing the role of Marisol Rodriguez. She also
appeared in PBS's Children's Educational Program Between the Lions. Alexandra
has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Theatre from Lehman College.
She has also studied acting at Harlem School of the Arts and Sande Shurin Acting
Studio.
