Black Pearl
Black Pearl did her first performance at Startime and Carnegie Hall between the ages of 4 and 8. She also danced with the Alatunji Dance Troop between the ages of 13 and 14. She started the singing groups Tour Mels who sang at the Boston Road Ballroom and Primary Purpose who performed in Yorktown.
She was an extra in “Malcolm X” and wrote two plays, “Little New Yorker” and “Miracle In the Ghetto.” She is a member of the International Society of Poets and can be found on their Web site. She won 5th place in their poetry contest in Washington and 5th place on their Web site. Black Pearl says she loves singing and writing. She reads her poetry with a flare. “I do every thing with a touch of me.” She is currently writing a book entitled “Prison Games.”
As a member of The Live Theatre Gang she hopes she will continue to enhance her craft and also would like to write and direct eventually, making a contribution to the list of hits that LTG already has.
