McNeal
A
Harlem
native,
Gloria is
a mother
and
grandmother.
She
graduated
from
Marymount
College
with a B.S
in
psychology
and is a
former
teacher
with the
NYC Board
of Ed and
City
University
of NY.
She
has
recorded
with ABC,
Paramount
and
Columbia
Records as
a jazz,
blues and
gospel
studio
singer.
She’s
currently
producing
her one
woman
show,
“Glo’s
In The
Mood For
Love”.
Currently,
she is in
a unique
gospel
group
called,
"Friends".
She began
her acting
career at
the
National
Black
Theatre in
1987 where
she is a
reoccurring
ensemble
member in
the
"Legacy"
and
"Song
Of
Sheba".
Some of
her acting
credits
include:
"Raisin",
"Colored
Museum",
"The
Washingtons",
"Tell
Pharaoh"
and
"Free
At
Last".
She is the
creator of
"Momma
Be, The
Storyteller"
and her
own
production
company
"The
McNeal
Players,
Inc." Her
ultimate
goal is to
bring
forth the
true
history of
African
people to
schools,
colleges
and
organizations
through
song,
dance and
one-act
plays.
