native who
lived in
the
Dominican
Republic
for three
years,
Jennifer
Rodriguez'
determination
and
passion
fueled the
accomplishment
of her
many
goals.
Jennifer
graduated
from
Hofstra
earning a
bachelor
of
business
administration
degree
with a
specialization
in
marketing
and
becoming
the first
woman in
her family
to
complete
both high
school and
college.
During
her
college
career,
Jennifer's
clear
focus and
diligent
work ethic
won her
several
high-caliber
internships
with some
of the
nation's
leading
companies.
After
completing
her first
year at
Hofstra
University
Jennifer
interned
at NatWest
bank.
During the
summer
following
her
sophomore
year, she
worked for
Home Box
Office
(HBO) in
the public
relations
department.
She
was
exposed to
many areas
of TV
production
on
programs
such as
Inside the
NFL and
HBO
Boxing.
While
in her
third year
in college
Jennifer
interned
in the
brand-marketing
department
for
Ketchum
Public
Relations,
one of the
world's
leading
public
relations
firms. She
was
selected
from a
pool of
more than
600
applicants.
Upon
graduation,
Jennifer
obtained a
position
interning
for the
Commissioner
of the
National
Football
League.
After
performing
above and
beyond the
call of
duty,
Jennifer
was
retained
by the NFL
to work in
the public
relations
department
of the NFL
where she
focused on
the
League's
community
affairs.
She
is
currently
an events
coordinator
for the
NFL where
she
coordinates
all major
events
such as
league
meetings,
the NFL
Draft, Pro
Bowl and
The Super
Bowl,
which has
the
largest TV
audience
in the
world.
Jennifer's
character
has also
been
shaped by
her vast
array of
interests,
including
her life
long
passion
for dance,
which
included
an
internship
at The
Dance
Theater of
Harlem.
She
has
studied
various
dance
techniques,
from
ballet to
hip-hop,
at several
schools in
New York
City,
including
the
world-renowned
Alvin
Ailey
Dance
School.
Jennifer's dance talents have resulted in numerous appearances in music videos as well as performances with several organizations at Hofstra University. As captain of the nationally rank Hofstra dance team, she performed at a half time show for the New York Jets as well as nationally televised competitions. Jennifer has judge several dance competition throughout the United States and continues to share her knowledge and love for dance by teaching. In November of 2000 Jennifer placed 8th among the 94 delegates competing for the title of Miss New York USA, a preliminary to the Miss USA pageant. Already with several television and modeling credits, Jennifer looks forward to a successful future in the entertainment industry. Jennifer enjoys devoting her free time to the youth of the city. She is currently a big sister mentor for the Big Brother/Big Sister program in New York City. She devotes time to her city by volunteering with New York Cares, a non-profit organization that enables caring New Yorkers to help people in need and improve New York City through volunteer service and creative giving.
