Reginald D. Brown

In addition to his Writers Guild of America membership, Reginald D. Brown also is a member of the Directors Guild of America (DGA), and Co-Chair of the DGA African-American Steering Committee.  He has over 20 years experience as an Independent writer, director and producer in the documentary and music-variety genres.  Brown wrote, directed and produced the award winning PBS Special, “I Remember Beale Street,” as well as the syndicated special, “America Salutes Rosa Parks.”

Brown’s stage credits include “Ella Fitzgerald: 60 Years of Music,” and “The Chocolate Nutcracker,” narrated by Debbie Allen.  He is the Co-writer and Director of “Great Women Of Color” which premiered at the Whitefire Theater in Studio City, California in 1998.  In 2001, he wrote and directed “Roy Wilkins: A View from the Classroom” starring Brock Peters and Willard Pugh for the U.S. Postal Service’s Black Heritage commemorative stamp series.
