Born in New York City, having entirely too much time on his
hands, Shaquan discovered his creative side through multiple personality
fixations. Dedicating his time to writing stories, and playing with his G.I.
Joes and Transformers, the wildly animated side of his personality took shape
to sculpt his cinematic interests.
The infections "acting bug" bit him during his stage time at
the 62nd Annual NADSA competition, in which he performed in a rendition of
George C. Wolfe's "The Colored Museum".
At this time, during his college years, he found himself while being a part of
the Claflin University Theatre Ensemble.
Having only been a professional actor since the summer of 2002,
his de-flowering birth began with a small play at the Harlem Theatre Company,
followed by a brief speaking role in "Citizen
L", an independent movie soon to be seen by way of Sundance Film
Channel.
Recently, he joined the incredible ensemble that is the Live
Theatre Gang. Performing in "Haters", he is currently enjoying the
opportunity to work with the Founder and Directors from this league of
innovative power-shakers. Shaquan plans to advance to new heights of
creativity within the gang in the coming months.
