GREENER GRASSES
by Sabura Rashid
director TBA

GREENER GRASSES is a play about the American mindset recently termed “Post Traumatic Slave Syndrome.” The story takes place in Parallel time periods: the world of antebellum south and the present; however dates are never specifically mentioned; only the rising and setting of the sun. The play involves five main characters and a sixth character who steps across space and time.  Greener Grasses is deliberately full of stereotypes in order to make a point. It is both an avant garde farce and a satire. It is also a comedic drama. It is a melange and mongrelization of genres just like the people it represents
