Tawfiq
Born
and raised
as a Sunni
Muslim in
Harlem
NYC.
Tawfiq is
currently
working as
a NYC
firefighter.
Tawfiq
started
off
playing
football
for
Manhattan
center for
math and
science
high
school
were he
lead the
football
team to an
undefeated
season as
quarterback.
After an
injury
Tawfiq
took a
dance
class as a
dare, from
that dare
Tawfiq
went on to
travel the
world as a
professional
dancer. He
has
performed
with
various
artists
such as
shaggy,
lil Kim
Gloria
Gaynor and
an Italian
artist by
the name
of gala.
He has
toured
Brazil and
Germany
with
Gloria
Gaynor,
and has
toured
Italy
London and
France
with gala
and with a
well-known
dance
company
called
"forces
of
nature".
He has
performed
in dance
Africa and
the Aruba
dance
festival.
Tawfiq
recently
appeared
on channel
13 in a
documentary
called
"free
to
dance"
which
gives a
history on
black
dance in
America.
This will
be saved
in the
archives
at the
Schaumburg
museum.
Tawfiq
has found
his love
in
theater.
He has
studied
with the
well-known
Negro
ensemble
theatre
company.
He has
performed
with
various
theatre
companies
such as
the dope
show,
African
globe
Negro
ensemble
theater
co. and
the Live
Theatre
Gang.
Tawfiq
also
landed the
lead role
in an
independent
film named
"pressure”.
Tawfiq is
extremely
proud and
happy to
be a part
of the
live
Theatre
Gang
family.
Tawfiq
would like
to thank
his father
for
inspiring
him to be
the man he
is today,
and would
also like
to thank
his
brother
Hamza for
showing
him that
you can
turn
you’re
life
around in
a second.
All it

discipline
focus and
determination.
