
Victor Cruz
Victor Cruz was born on August 5, 1980 in a naval hospital in Portsmouth, Virginia. Soon after his birth, his family returned back to their New York City roots. Victor was raised in the heart of the South Bronx, and since the age of eleven, had a dream to one day become a successful actor. With this in mind, he attended Talent Unlimited High School, a school for the performing arts. At Talent Unlimited he studied Visual Art and Musical Theater. He performed in many productions. His most notable role was that of Nathan Detroit in Guys and Dolls.
At the age of sixteen, Victor made his comedy debut at The Boston Comedy Club in downtown Manhattan. From there he has gone to perform in New York City at venues such as Caroline’s on Broadway and The Comic Strip Live! Victor has also performed at many colleges and clubs. When Victor finished high school, he set his eyes on accomplishing his goal of being an actor. He went on to attend the Acting Conservatory at SUNY Purchase College. It was here that he honed his craft for the dramatic arts. Working closely with highly respected teachers and actors, he was able to play such characters as Dromio of Ephesus in William Shakespeare’s The Comedy of Errors and Laventri in Bertolt Brecht’s The Caucasian’s Chalk Circle.
Victor’s comedic act focuses on his life growing up as a kid in a Latino household in the Bronx, watching cartoons, video games, and dating. Victor has appeared on HBO’s The Sopranos, SHOWTIME FILMS Brighter Days, SiTV’s The Latino Laugh Festival, and a series of national commercials.
