This Sunday,
the cast of "Haters" put on one of the hypest shows to date! With performances
from Jomo Kellman warming up the show, "Haters" officially started with
"Straight Up Gossip," a two person piece featuring
Tawfiq and
Jennifer Naso.
The two were phenomenal and hilarious. Following was "Haters; Could You Please
Be Quiet," which was so funny I nearly peed in my pants. Great work,
Lynze Szabo. During intermission,
you could feel how excited everyone was to be seeing such a terrific myriad of
talent and hater-ation. Folks were going up to Director,
Ah-Keisha McCants,
thanking her for a wonderful show before it even finished! It was definitely
off the chain. When the show started up again, we were thoroughly
pleased with a
comedic poetic performance from Robert Smalls, who I hope to see back in
the Gang in the near future. He was funny! Rounding out this
night
of sidesplitting humor and poignancy was
Lazaro Viciedo's, "Who Hated It,
A Hate
Mystery." That was the absolute best I'd ever seen his show. Not only was it
funny, they added even more jokes, but it kept us guessing. Three words,
Neil
Kerkhove, Stupendous!
So there you have it, show 3 of "Haters" and it keeps getting
better. I hear they'll be premiering new segments in the coming weeks, so you
definitely must check out the brilliance for yourself!
Every Sunday at 5 PM at the
New York Comedy Club! I'll be
there!
