What a Turn-Out for Haters!
The spot was packed and the performances were on point Sunday at
New York Comedy Club.  I thought it couldn't get any better than the prior weeks and boy was I wrong.  "Haters" just keeps getting funnier and crazier every week.  "Straight Up Gossip" had us all gripping our sides when Tawfiq and Jennifer Naso started calling each other every insult under the sun!  Oh the ups and downs of relationships!  Makes you wonder why we keep getting into the same old traps of the "Love and Love Nots," but that's what makes the world go round.  And of course that was only the beginning of the fun.  Every week there's something new to the show and always new insights to the returning pieces, especially the huge crowd pleaser, "Haters; Could You Please Be Quiet".  The orchestration of that piece is simply immaculate.  Shout outs to Lauren Corkery, who was hilarious as the sexually frustrated, but "not at all racist" Librarian, Shaunta Macklin, who killed it as the bisexual with a Lisp and of course Peter Brena, the Black Supremacist White rapper with a complex.  The show is just off the hook inside and out and all the performers were dynamite!

The overall consensus of the audience was sheer joy at the power charged piece.  We didn't want it to end.  Some audience members, me included, stopped by the box office to pick up some "Haters" memorabilia.  A couple folks even got a few of the actors to sign their T-shirts.  I can understand why, when you experience something like this in the beginning stages, it feels good to know and to show others you were there first!  So you best believe, myself and some others will be rocking the one of a kind T's.  And to cap off all the warm feelings, we were especially excited when the director Ah-Keisha McCants announced that the show would be extended to June 1st, debuting even more new segments to this otherwise full show!  Knowing LTG it's going to be a blast of more Hate-ology and definitely more fun!
